Winding road wt some straights
Nice piece of the C-55 near Montserrat area which can be used for connecting with other nearby routes. Nice views between Montserrat skirt and Llobregat river. Not for high speeds though the road surface is in mean condition, nice for routing.
This little rural road starts in Monistrol de Montserrat bordering El Llobregat river, then it goes through the magic town of Vacarisses between Parc natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt, Serra de l'Obac and Parc natural de Montserrat where you can visit its XII century castle or the outstanding XI century church of Sant Pere i Sant Feliu... wow! Then the road goes down to Olesa road under an old roman bridge and stunning venue.
This amazing little road borders the south east part of the magic mountain of Montserrat surrounded by an espectacular landscape. Very nice corners, some of them tight but still kind. The road is in very good condition.
A nice road through "la serra de l'Obac". Meet some catalonian local crazy biker beating you with a korean scooter. Some of the best catalonian riders like Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, Alex Criville, Xavi Coca, Sete Gibernau, Joan Garriga and many more grew up and forged their legend in this road and others around this zone. The biological, cultural and landscaping interest of this mitic road is undeniable. With lots of corners and a good surface you will be looking forward to repeat the experience.
Nice road 40 Km from Barcelona, funny and with lots of nice corners for a 20 minutes ride.
Bends Great Surface a little Narrow in places great scenery in places Prades a Fantastic Camp sight And good food not teally recomended in winter months if the weather is Bad
Interesting challenging Road, apart from the last part on BV-2111 rather slow and tight road. Ends at the defunct oval racetrack sitges terramar, which can't be visited (at least currently). In some parts (less than 5%) very bad road surface, but not off road. Good for Naked bikes and Enduros, a bit to tight for cruisers or supersports.
Good ride in themountains, nice cafe at 2080 meters.
Magnifiques carreteres catalanes, a descobrir ràpidament,
Collades planeres sense massa pujades i baixades, corbes obertes i no tan obertes però sense gaires sorpreses.
Not so much a mountain pass as a hill pass, but you won't be disappointed.
Set directly next to the bustling city of Barcelona, this
is a secluded stretch of road though a forest hill park.
Very little traffic, with plenty of challenging tight
corners that should see you getting your knee down every turn.
Road surface is good, just watch for the odd patch of gravel hence why Id suggest giving the road a medium paced ride first before giving it the beans!
I never saw any police but with its proximity to the city be wary just in case.
Enjoy.
Just signed up to put this route up. I was surprised no one had put it up before.
I did it twice yesterday and its sodding marvelous! Its only short, 50km? It really is one of the best bits of roads I have ever been on. Very good surface and its all bends! Its up and down too so you are flying into a bend down a steep gradient, scared me witless!
I have no idea what it is normally like but at 4 pm on a Sunday there was hardly any traffic and saw no police at all. If you are in the area dont miss it.
The road from the N-11 through Darnius and all the way to the French border is fantastic. Superb tarmac and a huge variety of corners on a road that undulates through dense forest. The road then starts to climb and the views get more and impressive. You can instantly tell youre crossing into France because the nice tarmac suddenly disappears. After a short distance from the border you pass through Coustouges and the road gets better again. Its not as wide and quite such good quality as the Spanish road but still great fun to ride and with bags of character. As you descend into France the landscape seems to change and it seems more rustic! You will eventually get to the D-115 junction, turn right to Arles, or for more adventure turn left and head back into Spain on another excellent road (already reviewed).
Loads of twisty bends and good tarmac.
