This is part of my commute and is a fun but challenging road to ride. There are a lot of corners, some junctions and potentially farm traffic, but there is adequate room for the skilled rider to over take slower traffic. Take care as the road surface can be a challenge, there is some surface water in the winter and a couple of sections where gravel can be an issue. A technically challenging road that is a joy to ride.
An excellent road to ensure you are taking the correct road position prior to a RoSPA re-test.
Sunday. Ride to biker cafe
A short fun little ride.
West Chilterns windy hilly lanes. Loads of cyclists at the weekend.
Roads to suit everyone's riding capabilities. Love the roads around here. Scenery is good but no cafes on route. I will start to build on this and keep adding to it.
Going to oxford opt 2
trying a new route to get to oxford
An easy mix of rural and urban roads with good surface and ideal for bike trials after maintenance.
There and back
Route to Moto Rapido Ducati dealer in Winchester without using the main roads!
Short, sharp morning run around town!
Nice cross country route across from Brackley to Little Malvern
Good to practice
very nice sweeping, undulating, scenic welsh country road
fun scenic rural section with pretty hedgerows and houses. some bumpy, blind and village parts need care. overall nice
Local Aylesbury trip
Some nice twisty roads out of Bristol, the section to Easter Compton has some pinch points. Severn Bridge has a good little Cafe and views over to Wales and the bridge. Back road to Thornbury has nice twisty corners. The ride up the A38 to Saul Junction is a typical single lane A road but worth in when you get there. Lots of parking and a good food, tea and Coffee at the cafe.
Fast and undulating country carriageway, through lovely English countryside
Good ride over to Wantage.
Circular Sunday rude, via JackHills biker friendly cafe
Nice Cirencester to Bourton-on-the-Water ride from Bike magazine. November 2018
I route I use for some advanced training taking in some rural 50s then pushing onto some really nuice rural nationals. Points of interest along the way:
Avebury - Some lovely bends, a nice pub and some big stones. Well worth going through twice.
Hackpen White Horse, Alton Barnes White Horse and the Uffington White Hourse
Wantage - Couple of nice cafes there for a brew
Lovely particularly the B660 north of Kimbolton with the road is smooth, flowing with good curves and hills, and is free of potholes.
Really fast roads (depending on how strict you are with double white lines) with lots of variety!! Perfect on an early morning or later evening blast
