Very technical, sometimes dangerous, absolutely beautiful scenery. This is a must see for every biker. This part of Julian alps takes you through countless hairpins, twisties and some canyon riding along Soca river. Take care on Mangart because it is a narrow road with blind hairpins and lots of cars and bicycles just blasting away. You will never forget this route :-)
Nice rural road, 60/40 asphalt/gravel, but gravel section in the middle is smooth and can be ridden also on sportbike. Rural roads are very narrow and sometimes the road looks like it goes to someones farmyard, but than it continues :-) It's a nice look inside the Slovenien countryside.
This route is 50/50 asphalt/gravel. But the gravel is really smooth and easy ridden also on a sportbike.
A very good route to drive fast through a nice landscape. Take speed off in villages and accelerate again, that\'s real biking.
Very nice old national road West East. No traffic only bikers. Don't go on highway.
Best road for Race moto riding.
Good macadam forest trail for big enduro bikes.
Great road with mid-fast corners along Slovenien border and very technical end through Loiblpass.
Wide road, fast corners, great hairpins. Road mainly in forest, only few villages, very few traffic. Road not for seightseenig, but for more sporting ride...
A mixture of very twisty moutain roads and valley bottom roads with fast, flowing bends with a link back to Kranjska on a nice wide road for the most part with some poor surfaces. There are fantastic views of the Juliana Alps for much of the route. Fuel and cafes are available in the towns and villages. It is an all day ride but well worth doing.
Wurzenpass between Slovenia and Austria is the steepest road I have ever ridden. There are lots of signs advising you to use only the 1st gear in your vehicle ;)
The well known passo Predil that connects Italy with Slovenia. A great and quiet road with great views and some great corners (specially at Italy side). There is a new highway building over this area so probably you will meet roadworks (when I was there it's was near Mangrt pass).
A unique scenery pass with 48 hairpins most of them paved. There are signs in every hairpin counting up to 48.
Have you ever imagine yourself looking the earth from above like an astronaut? If yes then that's the road you have to drive. In the top of the mountain you will feel like an astronaut. PS you have to pay €5 tolls for this road
A pleasant welcome in to Slovenia from Croatia borders. Great road, nice corners and sings that alert for falling bikers ;)
