Scenic touring route
Scenic ride along Lake Michigan from Grand Haven, MI to Crystal Mountain Resort. You can make it even nicer if you keep following M-22 north of Onekema. It will take longer but if you are not pressed for time it is well worth it. M-22 is one of the most beautiful motorbiking roads in Michigan.
A fun set of sweepers you can see through on a quiet rural Trout Lake Road in the UP between Rudyard, MI and just west of Fibre, MI.
nice route mostly 2 laners some small towns nice Sunday cruise
Motorcycle route from Dexter, MI to Lake George
Awesome scenery and most of the time you will have to dress warm. Due to abundant wildlife Daylight travel is best.
Nice paved rural and 2 lane highway trip through Hell MI. Be sure to stop at Dam Site Inn
Nice country rural route. All paved roads.
Rural scenic raods
Nice Country trip for the people in the city. Takes you through Clarkston and Davisburg with a couple options for different routes. This is fairly 'hilly' for Southeast Michigan. Not many notable places to stop, but downtown Clarkston is home to both the Woodshop and Union. Both made world famous by the mac & cheese and Kid Rock, you may even get the opportunity to see him.
Nice curves and views of the water. Stop at the corner of Rochester Rd and Rochester Rd (yes, Rochester and Rochester) for a beer on the rooftop overlooking Lakeville Lake. Join this ride with Orion Rd and it is a good mix for a quick ride, just watch out for rush hour coming out of Downtown Rochester.
Rolling hills, very nice corners especially coming into Petosky where there is a long sweeping S curve that gains in altitude. Nice approach if you plan on riding 119 - tunnel of trees.
- This is just a very pleasant trip around the Thumb of Michigan.
- Starting at Walmart in Caro (good parking lot to meet in), head West on M-81, turn South on M-24, and follow that down to M-46. Turn East on M-46 and continue on until Port Sanilac, MI. Then, turn North on M-25, and follow that all the way around the Thumb until Unionville, MI. There, M-25 turns West, but the road that continues South becomes M-24, which leads right back into Caro, MI.
- Overall, it's about 160 miles, and takes about 3.5 hours with no stops, but there are plenty of very nice places to stop for scenic pictures and great food along the way. It's a simple ride with minimal hazards, and not much for hills and curves, but the scenery is beautiful, especially as the road rides along the edge of Lake Huron. There's also plenty of lodging along the way, if needed. This is a great ride in the summer, with plenty of beaches to stop at, and a great color tour in the fall when the leaves begin to change.
Here's a gorgeous route to hit with a cruiser or sport bike. Twenty two miles of tight corners with beautiful scenery. on the route keep an eye out for a little cabin that serves great coffee and is a very cool antique shop. BE VERY CAREFUL OF SAND ON THE ROAD and be extremely careful of other vehicles as it is very tight
It's a nice ride that starts and finishes at Motorcity Harley Davidson. It's a good mixture of urban and rural riding.
This is a picturesque route from Harrison, Michigan to Westbranch, Michigan.
About an 1.5 hour ride. Very pleasant.
