YOu can obviously start this route from wherever you want, but the C14 from Tarragona to Alcover is a nice open dual carriageway. You can ride the route in either direction, but I really like to hit the mountain from Alcover to Mont Ral. If the timing is right, especially on a weekend, lunch at Raco de Mont Ral under the chapel is great. Watch out for cyclists on the way up, but the road is one of my favourite rides ever. From Mont Ral you head down again, and the road is a little tighter, but when you get down a bit the corners open up and it is a real fun ride to La Selva. There are one or two corners that it's eay to come into a little too hot, but hey, that's what this is all about right? Have fun.
