This route (also entered as part of a roundtrip) is truly spectacular. It takes you past the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geiranger fjord, the Ørnevei (Eagles road) and Trollstigen (Troll ladder), and lots lots more. Beware of tourists, and locals racing to catch the ferry. Bring your camera!
View from Union hotel. In the background one can see the hairpin Eagles road. The cruiseship look small, compared to the mountains.
Overview of Geiranger. Photo taken at the Dalsnibba peak. It is 1500 metres above sealevel. Reputedly Europes highest road where one can see a fjord. And the ride up there is spectacular.
