Road 55 from Kuala Kubu Bharu past Frasers Hill (Bukit Fraser) to Raub crosses the mountainous spine in the centre of Malaysia. It goes through forest in often very tight bends, so if blasting around fast corners on your big bike is your thing then this is probably not for you. The Western side is busy on weekends with people heading up to and down from the resort village, while the Eastern side never sees much traffic. We didn get to Bukit Fraser due to road works and a long wait. There is accommodation there - at a price. Depending on your destination this can make a nice alternative to the E8 motorway.
