OK surface, some corners
Mostly narrow local roads with bad surface. One part was trail roads
Tragitto cost to cost
una bellissima passeggiata con una bella scorpacciata di curve !!!
ottima gita con qualche curva
Starting of as quite a fast road as it runs east, the SP9 soon tightens up and offers many satisfying opportunities to scrape various pieces of your motorcycle should you feel the need.
Another great road with so many corners its simply dizzying. A lovely ride.
Several combinations of switchbacks broken up with some less tight corners in beautiful southern Italy.
Nice, hilly and scenic run down to the sea.
Faster and more flowing than the other more tight passes in this area, it is possible to go a bit faster on this stretch.
Watch all those boring cars on the autoroute as you twist your way along this lovely alternative route through the national park area, good fun.
A simply stunning road with almost no straights and a pretty much constant marathon of curves through the lovely Italian countryside.
Good fun road with many corners, like so many around here.
Rising nearly 1000metres this is an excellent little road up to the lake.
Rising sharply as it enters the national park, this is a very twisty and fun ride.
Strategici montana stretta e tortuoso
Most of this road is new asphalt on a great twisty route. You ride most of the way through the forest and don't have the greatest view until before you head down to Serino. At that point the view is absolutely unbelievable. The is a view point to stop and admire the view from the top. This would not be a good point to go off the road since it drops off hundreds of meters below. Some of the big turns are long, sweeping, and banked. I about ripped my floorboards off and scratched the heck out of my pipes I was having so much fun.
The route from Battipaglia starts out great almost immediately. You climb right up into the mountains and have a spectacular view of the coast to the right and rock faces to the left. The road is in great shape with no potholes or deterioration until two thirds of the way when you enter the Avelino region, where the roads can get pretty rough here and there.
un giro fantastico
All of this road has been repaved in the last two years. From a distance on the map a good portion looks straight. It is far from it. there are countless curves as you traverse the pass through the mountains. It is like doing a downhill slalom on skis.
From Sperlonga you climb right up the side of the cliffs to a spectacular view of the coastline. The road is in great shape with lots of twisty climbs. The route goes through a regional park that is pristine with very little car traffic. The town of Itri has a great castle that is worth stopping to have a look.
The SS18 is the best road in the Cilento Coastal area. No traffic to speak of since there is a main highway that parallels this route. The road surface is fantastic for the first 75% of the route from the south which is so curvy you won't believe it.
This ride has great views and great roads. Late spring to early fall is the best time since the elevations get quite high. There is a great motorcycle restaurant on one of the best turns along the route (41.73878, 13.81133). You can sit and watch the sport bikes tear it up.
