Epic scenery, epic road. Just be warned, police just off the junction of the A171. Followed me for a few miles at 60mph before he gave up and waited for another unwitting biker...

This road is pretty much as fast as you want it to be. Mainly straight along the top of Blakey Ridge with a few kinks here and there. Stunning scenery, as would be expected for a National Park. Very quiet in terms of other traffic, but watch out for sheep and walkers.

Thats the secret out now. I was hoping nobody would post this one - seclusion, isolation and anonymity are still prized, at least by me. Still, its not often in good conditiona and the sheep are lethal. Certainly help to keep your speed down - they make effective policemen.

Awesome ... awesome road!

Can be used as part of a circular route taking in the Brilliant Stokesley to Helmsley Road also.

Flat out riding for 12 miles along the moor ridge ... nice exposed well-sighted corners, no trees to it and plenty of elevation change to keep you interested. I've ridden it loads of times and not once seen any police presence. There are lots of sheep knocking about but they don't mind you flying past at full revs .... always worth keeping an eye out for them wondering onto the road though!

Because it is so exposed it can get a little windy but you usually find if it's windy in one direction it's ok in the opposite direction.

Nice pub halfway along for a drink if you fancy it.
