Nice long straights to get some speed up on after each corner and you can see for miles. Hardly any traffic but a few warning signs about motorbike accident reduction schemes so obviously a popular route.

Carried on to Kimbolton over the A14 and back to St Neots on another good road. Cracking ride on a sunny day :)

good road and nice bends, but yer dont go mad in the wet. this route is good to add on to the upwood to doddington route if you are riding towards Ramsey St M as Upwood is just down the road from Ramsey st M. Winwick to Ramsey StMary to Upwood to Doddington. Great long blast. give it ago. (UPWOOD-DODDINGTON is on a seperate review, give it a look)

Please be aware the stretch between Holme and the A1 has become seriously badly polished and is VERY slippery in the wet. Take it easy.:)

I love this road, the top section from Ramsey St Mary to the railway level crossing is bumpy Fenland. After this I describe it to my friends as a 20 mile roller coaster. I would have included the section from Wenwick to Kimbolton in this route as it's still good. From Kimbolton down to Bedford has been spoilt by traffic calming. One corner to watch out for! You enter a valley about a third of the way down and there is a double bends sign. There used to be a plate below the sign saying 'sharp bends slow down'which has been removed. This is a tight right left right hidden behind the hedges and threw me on to the wrong side of the road when I first rode this way.Brilliant road but be quick as this road has been included in many magazines and web sites so I doubt it'll be long before the Police start paying attention to it. A nice selection of medium speed bends and some open ones. Can be nicely combined with the Winwick-Bedford route (also described on this site) for a longer blast.
