Stunning road keeping away from the main roads in the region and a great alternative from the Troyes area to Dijon. Watch out for farm machinery although this are the only hazards we found. There was hardly any traffic on the road at all. All in all a great riders road with good straights and classic sweeping bends.
Fantastic bit of road that continues to Dijon. Did it in May 2010 Did not see another car or bike for about 25miles. Like having your own race track. Silly speeds and long open bends. When you get to Leuglay there is a nice cafe but they don speak English but welcome bikers with open arms.
Petite route bien sympathique, avec la cote de Vertus, un vrai plaisir.
If you want to avoid some french motorway riding on the A5 and A31, then this road will not only avoid the toll booths but it will give you a gem of a road. I rode from Troyes, south on the N71, which was great, and turned off at Chatillon sur Seine and found this little beauty. It starts out as the D928 and becomes the D428, but you stay on the same road. It is 60k of pure heaven, I saw 3 cars in an hour, bliss. Lots of twisting bends, some good straights and all surrounded by lush undulating scenery. A road that I am glad I did not miss.
Good if a bit tricky, there are a couple of downhill blind decreasing radius turns in quick succession that could easily have you off when you don't know they coming and a rather poorly visible crossroads crossing the route that comes up suddenly so be careful. Suggest you ride it once first to familiarize yourself before trying any hero antics. Pretty good though.
This road is a fun way of getting from A to B. It has plenty of corners, none of which are tight, and some good straights. It can get busy, though are a few miles of dual cariageway to get past the odd caravan. There is a friendly Honda dealer in St Dizier (Maginot Moto) for a bit of a break. A good fast road with corners best enjoyed at speed.
A good fast road, plenty of sweeping bends, couple of deceptive hairpins. A good way to get cross country without using the motorway Stay on the N71 for speed, take the D901 for a more scenic route with more corners, both good roads
