Built as part of a hydro electric scheme this road goes over the top of a mountain and the last bit is app 15 km and drops 900 metres to the valley floor with 27 hairpin bends (1 in a tunnel) if you,re in this area don,t miss this road
Route with some really nice high speed curves combined with some smaller villages with nice cafes. Good warm-up for the route Suleskar-Brokke (http://www.suleskarvegen.no/). Bikers meet on Wednesday afternoon at the cafe at Gjestal or do the extra trip to Byrkjedalstunet where you could also ride back down to Vikeså. As for any biking in Norway, speeding fines are outrageous so watch out for policemen hiding in the bushes.
