This is a great early morning ride, just watch the farm crossings, can be cows/ manure on the road. Can return same way or through Strathalbyn.
Did this ride while recently in Adedaide. Rode it twice, both times early [8am] morning, & had very little traffic & no police presence. Very twisty, mostly 50kph, corners. Surface is reasonable, with very little rubble on the roads, & the corners are consistent [ie: don`t tighten up on you].
Very enjoyable
Check out Garage Motorcycles when in Strathalbyn
Nice selection of corners through the Kakadu National Park. The Kakadu Highway is arguably the best motorcycling road for road based motorcycles in the Northern Territory. This 200km of which a about half of the road travels through the Kakadu National Park (A World Heritage Site) and is surrounded by Aboriginal lands. It is a long fast open section with many fast curves and an open hot, and deserted landscape. This road has low traffic and is relatively free of trucks due to no quarries being in the park itself. Watch out for nature and crocodiles!
This unusually twisty and quite well surfaced road is surely an enigma in this area. Enjoy
