This is one of the official tourist roads of Norway. It takes you past farms and apple orchards through some very lovely scenery on mostly good roads. Theres a climb and descent midway with some nice hairpins and twists through the forest. Some sections are bumpy, but not too bad. You can buy apples, cherries and plums from roadside stands, practically fresh off the tree.
You can also visit the summer ski resort at Folgefonna glacier, about 15 km from Jondal. Dont worry about skiing, youll just break an ankle. Get yourself a nice lefse (delicious sweet pastry) in Jondal and enjoy it with a cup of coffee and a view of the glacier.
Good backroad which has moderate traffic, very quiet on weekdays. Nice scenery and fun roads. It varies from farmland, hills, twisties, some straights and some sweepers. Good choice for Sundaytripping based out of Bergen, start at Os and round off with a burger at Trengereid.
The Bergsdal road takes you up in the mountains on the old road between Bergen and Voss. The area has farms, summer houses and the occasional old power station. Beware of cows, sheep, potholes and blind corners. This is not a good speed run, but a relaxed scenic ride. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, the road is fun to ride and the local bulls are mostly harmless.
