A very short road that needs to be combined with other roads to provide a decent ride. The west end of the road ends at Pleasant Valley Road which will take you to Hwy 128.
The southern portion of Berryessa-Knoxville Road is well paved with lots of corners but with a fair amount of traffic. Once past Pope Valley Road the northern portion soon narrows to a one lane "goat path" with poor road conditions. This portion is not for everyone. It is extremely isolated with nothing but a few rural residences scattered in the hills. It is definitely a road to "get away from it all". It will remind you of a time wrap of Northern California of the early 20th century. At the very north end the road turns into Morgan Valley Road with sweeping turns and good pavement all the way to the town of Lower Lake.
This Ride starts at a Mansion in the middle of the Sacramento Delta. It then crosses on a pulley ferry to Ryer Island and some levee roads. One boat ferry crossing off of Ryer Island puts you just north of Rio Vista, Then through Rio Vista to the not well known Montezuma Hills Road. It winds through a windmill farm or two. And it ends in the small burg of Bird's Landing. From Bird's Landing you can back track to Rio Vista and have a meal at The Point seafood restaurant of at Foster's Bighorn restaurant.
