This is a ride I´ve done many times when I need a quick escape from the urban areas to some clean air.
This ride provides a range of riding experiences, from 100 kph straights to tight low speed curves and takes you through some picturesque towns and areas.
You could go to Gembrook, have a coffee and then return via the same route, however I suggest you hang a right at Gembrook and take the longer route back to Emerald as it is a lovely ride road and offers some extra challenges with windy roads and plenty of tight corners to lean hard into.
Be aware during winter and wet days many sections of the road in the rural sections may never have day light shine directly onto them due to the tree canopy which has the potential to make them slippery.
