Great road with some tarmac irregularities at the first kms but finishes just great. Many corners particularly inside old and narrow stone bridges.
Beware not to wake up the customary dog sleeping on the side of the road in some locations.
Enjoy the views either from the river on your ...
Great road with lots of amazing corners(yet some are kinda tight) and very good surface. The scenery its prety nice. Very low trafic.
The only bad thing is that it's not to long, but you can do it 2 ou 3 times ahaha
Route 103 in Northern Portugal runs from Braga in the West to Braganca in the East. About 200 kilometres of absolutely stunning mountain road. Traffic is generally light and the road surface, by and large, is excellent. Chaves, about half way, makes a nice stop off point and the opportunity to ...
This route is usually the stage for the car rally
named 'Rampa de Murça' which stands for 'Murças Shakedown'
and its filled with good curves, whether you choose to do
it downward or upward.
My suggestion: do it both!
Nasty piece of road now transformed into a town street. If you want to do the whole road N16, do it. If not, my advice is to skip it trough the motorway and rejoin it (N16) at Carvoeiro. The best comes after...
N221 Northern Portugal ..., Portugal September 3, 2013 - 4.0
This route follows the N221 through one of the many Nature reserves in Portugal the road surface was very good and very twisty also some very tight corners which can catch the unwary out,the road follows a river valley which has some great views.
There is a cafe /restaurant just over the brid...
The N222 winds its way through the world reknowned port vineyards along the Duoro River. The sinuous road follows the river rising up the valley then dropping down low, all the while sending you twisting & weaving along the way. Sections of it were freshly paved when I rode it in 2004 thanks to Euro...
The section between Aveiro and Ãgueda Its very poor, bad tarmac, some traffic and the scenery isnt very good. But after some 5 kms of Ãgueda the tarmac becomes spectacular, no traffic, great corners with a great scenery.
N315 Northern Portugal ..., Portugal March 21, 2011 - 5.0
Great straights almost all the way.
Great, if you are making the N103 from Chaves to
Bragança, but find out it's getting too
late for the coming back if you finish the road.
Found this road trying to find a quickest way back, and I'm glad I did.
Very nice road.. This is a mountain road with great tarmac, very low traffic even on Sundays. Theres a little of everything.. some nice but not very long and boring straights, nice corners. The only thing you need to be carefull is passing through some villages.
One amazing road! Coming all the way down to the Douro river hugging the hills in vineyard country one gets some amazing views and some great corners. Remember to keep your eye on the road instead of the scenery because its a long way down!
Just done this route one time, the road surface is really good with no dirt or potholes.
Is a fun road for Supermoto and Naked bikes.
Só andei na estrada uma vez, tem um piso muito bom e sem sujidade ou buracos.
É uma estrada muita divertida para supermotos e nakeds.
Vouga river Northern Portugal ..., Portugal December 28, 2014 - 5.0
Best section of N16! Along the river first, then climbing the hill. Although the river crossing bridge is on the N16 one has to yield way to enter and leave the bridge. All the rest of the route is twisting and bending without major obstacles
