"Yorkshire actually starts before Skipton! Road is very busy, plenty of police activity constantly. Don even think about speeding at weekends, unmarked cars all over the place. Take it early morning or late evening, the traffic is less problematic and you can then enjoy it a litle more. Its a decent gateway to a proper county when escaping the other one - it leads you into greater biking experiences, but in it itself its quite boring." See More ...

"K/moorside to Pickering is too crowded, no decent corners and plenty of police on sunny days. Pickering to Malton is just a back country road with nothing of interested. It goes from a nowhere sort of place to another more nowhere place. Youd get more fun out of a days trainspotting." See More ...
