Take a camera and take your time.

I did this route in a day from Trondheim to Bodo. I will be revisiting this for 3 or 4 days in 2010 as I enjoyed it so much this year.

The Lofoten Islands are spectacular. Not to be missed. If you only have time for the Nordkap or the Lofotens, I would chose the Lofotens. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet when I was there, but the majestic, natural beauty still shone through.

As a motorcycling road, it may not be the best, but the spectacular scenery more than makes up for any shortcomings.

A classic island / costal route. Spectacular scenery. Lots of charming, small places to stay (although pricey). If you come from the South, it is possible to get a ferry from Bodø to Moskenes (start-point). Check out lofoten.no
