Fanatastic road that is a joy to ride on any bike. This road has everything: hairpins, sweepers, straights, coutryside, cafes and great views. Its a bit bumpy in places but if you keep an eye out for the cracks in the road these can be easily spotted.

If you are the type of rider that hates straights, this is the best way to get from Maranello to Firenze. Through forests, up and down hills and mountains, very little traffic, even the days before the Mugello MotoGP that I rode there in 2010.

Instead of taking the 541 south, follow the minor road through Casole d'Elsa past Radicondoliand Belforte. Early on, this road crosses the Colle di Val d'Elsa (also worth a look) before rising to about 1738metres near to Belforte.

SP72 / SP324 : Castelnuovo di Garfagnana - Pievepelago ( Foce di Radici )

From the A-11 Autostrada just south of Pistoia, take the SP9 south towards Lamporecchio. Just after the village of Nardini, turn left onto SP13 towards Empoli. A beautiful ride through the Tuscan hills.
