Rural France at its best. Quiet well surfaced roads, interesting villages and some enthusiastic local bikers. Plenty of variation from long open sweepers to tight esses in a river valley. Many small roadside cafes to choose from. fast or slow a good alternative to the major roads.
It's been a while since I was there so the memory is a bit fuzzy and I don't recall if it's any good between Corlay and Pontivy. However it's a favourite for many bikers where I live (Jersey).
I love this road as you are straight into some twistys just 30 mins from the ferry port of roscoff.Its a religion now to do this road coming off and heading to the ferry. This road passes through the Monts dArree area of the Finisterre region. Its a bit reminiscent of the Yorkshire Dales with its rounded hills. While not as challenging as the roads in the south of france, its still a pleasantly scenic bit of road.
