Considerable traffic in the summer months but lots of opportunity to pass. Watch for Bears and Deer. Great visibility and relatively safe at high s...
More of a scenery route. Heavily traveled during the summer months. The retreating Columbia Glacier is the main thing. Lots of wildlife and camera snappers. Best part is immediately north of Saskatchewan River Crossing to the Icefields. High mountain roads so be prepared. Heated vests recommended. O...
Nice approx. 350km day trip starting in Calgary by Canada Olympic Park, out the Trans-Canada then out the 1A by Cochrane and then down Highway 40 through Kananaskis (Gas stop between beginning of highway 40 and Smith Dorian Trail) next, on to Blackdiamond for another pit stop, perhaps some food and...
A very fast, wide open ride from SRC to Rocky Mountain House. Road surface is flawless and conducive to +160kph speeds. Very little traffic but be prepared for Big Horn Sheep on the roadway on blind sweeping turns. Abraham Lake has that brilliant blue colour from glacial silt.
