Excellent road with tight curves that was recently paved and follows up the river Mondego. when they reach Penacova you can enjoy a great meal at Restaurant "O Cotâ". It's only 20 kms and has 365 curves!
A little known but great route! The road starts with a narrower and sightlier worse tarmac stretch on the M511, but things change a lot reaching the N231, the tarmac gets better and road gets wider. The views in this mountain region are always amazing.
My favourite route out of Lisbon, either for a short two
hour stroll or as a way to get up north. Its mostly
unknown in the local biker community that usually goes
for the shorter show-off stroll to Cabo da Roca on the
It starts at the 3rd exit of the A8 out of Lisbo...
A very interesting route with parts with very nice corners and some sections of speed up straights. Despite the crossing villages roads with traffic lights, is a very balanced route, interenting and enjoyable. You will be getting out of it with a smile on your face
This road is unfortunately being destroyed as I am writing these words because the section between Sertã and Oleiros is being transformed into a fast one lane highway :-( The old road still connects to this one now and again and is referred as the M238.
One of the nicest routes around with plenty of very sharp corners,
this route is better taken from the crossing with IC3 since
it only gets interesting from there.
A new road to Sertã means this is now a very abandoned road,
which is good because there is very light traffic,
but bad ...
Turn right outside Hotel Baia and head towards Guincho keeping to the Coastal road. Great road with Ocean on your left heading towards Guincho beach. Surface is good, with fast sweeping corners. Once you have passed the beach you enter a woody section which begins your ascent to village called Mal...
This route is a different and mostly unknown way to cross the river Tejo. The narrow road runs mostly trough tomato fields and by two small airfields before reaching the small bridge. This is a one way bridge so you might have to wait some minutes at the lights.
This road is popular with Portugal local bikers and has some spectacular viewpoints. It passes through a ski resort area, a shock for Portugal, after rising from the town to a flattish mountain top at 2000 metres. There is an interesting diversion to the right, signposted Manteigas or Valley of the ...
A road that speaks for itself own, with a beautiful landscape between forests and ancient villages with enough greenery and with a floor of confidence, When the finish will go back again and spend the day there to the front and back!! very good
Orvalho Tour Central Portugal ..., Portugal August 23, 2014 - 5.0
Estrada com excelentes condições e uma vista inigualável recomenda-se seriamente aos amantes de motas. Para além da viagem recomendo também a exploração das estradas e zonas adjacentes pois contêm segredos maravilhosos do nosso país.
Actually, this is a mixed route. Get yourself to Salvaterra do Extremo. At the entrance of the village there is a cross where you should see a sign pointing to Segura. This road is very rural, mostly used by farmers and their animals, but was recently upgraded to a low quality tarmac. It is still a ...
It starts at Torres Vedras with good straight roads, then it goes wild once you turn left on the junction until Alenquer. There, stop for some photos by the river, over the bridge and then a few hundred meters further with Alenquer village scattered on the hill. Lots of green and forest, great tarma...
