9 : Orbe - Molandurz (Switzerland)May 29, 2005This road is really nice, partially in the forest. There is few circulation and some curves are very nice. It finishes on the road of the Mollendruz pass which is often assimilated to a track by some riders. The police is often there and the junction with that road may reveal dangerous. But it is a road to recommend ;-) 123 : Nyon - La cure (St. Cergue) (Switzerland)May 29, 2005This spot could have been wonderfull but there is too many people of different type on that road. People comming from France who know the road by heart and who cut too many curves (really dangerous when you go down), tourists (because this region is really beautifull), and idiots on motorcycle with few experience who go up and down and always faster. They often finish on the wrong side of the road. There is almost one accident each sunny day and the average of death on this road is 10 per year. It is a pity, because otherwise it is a wonderfull road... :-/ D486 : Gérardmer - Le Thillot (France)May 6, 2005Very pleasant road when you go from Alsace to south (Switzerland for example :-D)! N85 : Grenoble - Castellane - Grasse - Cannes ( Route Napoleon ) (France)May 4, 2005Cannes - Grasse - Castellane: The road is wonderful up to Digne-les-Bains! If you have a sportsbike, it is just a dream, as if the road was built for it :-D It really looks like a track. Its only drawback: it is a road. There are more and more often police controls, and many tourists during the season. I recomend to ride it on june or september; it is exceptionnal then ;-) D952 : Castellane - Moustiers-Sainte-Marie ( Gorges du Verdon north side ) (France)May 4, 2005Don't forget to leave the mail road indicated on the map to join the georges road. It makes a small loop that is mostly oneway and there from you have a spectacular view of what is the greatest canyon of Europe. We used to see up to six eagles once, what it is really rare :-D It is also possible to rent a boat on lake St-Croix and enter in the canyon form the river... simply wonderfull!! |
