Heading from Clifton through the scenic routes of the Lake District avoiding most of the main tourist routes, through quaint towns and picturesque villages, crossing Lake Windermere then a short blast to and up the best stretch of the A6, off towards the Pennines and back towards Penrith. Beware of the sheep, and horse back riders!
Excellent route through the country side of 3 counties, from Norfolk's straight bumpy roads, Cambridgeshire's smoother sweeping roads to the quick, winding roads of Essex. Be careful as there is plenty of police presence on the way through Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.. less so through Essex but bike cops are usually lying in wait around Braintree and Colchester.
