A high speed section with quite a few straights and some nice high speed corners. As this is main road, there's not much room for error (run off) available on the corners, so be careful
Rural in character this road is quiet (even at peak times). Lots of twisties, some straights and even a climb over the hills just before Moffat. To get back to the start head up the M74 to Abington and then on to the A702. Stop at the Dolphinton teatooms for a break then head home - a great Sunday m...
Fast section running alongside the Clyde. A lot of fast straights with some good corners to keep your interest up. Can be some traffic heading for the motorway, but it is mostly still good.
A cracking run which gets really nice South of Dalmellington. Between Dalmellington and Loch Ken there are loads of nice twisties. Some of the road surface has been replaced in recent years but there are still stretches of old stuff. After Loch Ken the road straightens out a little on teh way to Cas...
Nice road that climbs up to the Muirhead Reservoir where there is a good selection of open sweeping bends, some nice overtaking straights and a few tighter twisties. Road condition is good and minimal police presence
For those of you touring Western Scotland and wishing to by-pass Glasgow and start the scenery show as early as possible:

There are some really good fast sweepers on this route, it was formerly an MoD road that was later opened to traffic. Great fun but watch out for small animals
Arrochar road Central Scotland and Arra..., United Kingdom March 7, 2011 - 2.0
From the roundabout at whistlefield head north on the A814 towards Arrochar, plenty of bumps and jumps to enjoy, nice scenery and relatively quiet. Watch out for dozy fishermen and campers pulling out from layby's. When you get to Arrochar enjoy a roll and a cuppa with Dunky in the Pit Stop Diner.
If you like undulating, roller-coaster relaxed rides, then this is for you. Probably not the best for a sports bike speed merchant, but for a supermoto, or a tourer, this is fabulous.
It starts in a very hilly area, and its ALL single track with passing spaces only. There are lots of sheep and catt...
