This route is 90 miles long and any part can be riden and enjoyed.
Some sections are high speed sweeping bends and others nicely twisty without hair pin bends. Road surface is excellent and scenary brill with a large lake and dam and a bikers cafe at the North East point.
Highly recommended if you...
The road north from Pinoso is very open and straight, with a fairly good surface, however once past Yecla, it becomes like a race track with fast flowing bends, some longer straights, and good visibility all the time. Its also seems too rural to attract a police presence - well recommended for spee...
I think this is the highest mountain pass in the area, just over 1,900m and it gets quite cold at top, nice views when its not misty.
The road surface is good & wide, and as you can imagine with a mountain pass lots of corners. Was quite wet when i went along here in late May 08 but ...
Great scenery that changes along the entire route. The roads are mainly straight, the epic ones that go to the horizon in a heat haze. There are some wonderful views along the way with plenty of great little towns and villages that you go through which are a delightful. There are also a number of ol...
Carretera de estar ocupado todo el tiempo, miles de curvas
de todo tipo y paisajes extraordinarios, pocas rectas
para apretar el mango. Velocidad media baja pero te hará
sudar.
El Escorial - Robledo de Chavela (por la Cruz Verde) -
Valdemaqueda - Cebreros - El Tiemblo - Navaluenga.
A great road generally but the fun really starts after you leave Rascaria. Great alpine road, well surfaced, with switchbacks, mountain vistas etc. Could be a bit full of hikers and tree huggers in the summer but on a Tues afternoon in October was almost deserted. Rockin' on a Multistrada but would ...
Pedraza is an interesting little place to visit, if you use the back roads north of the main road you get some very nice views plus the roads are very quiet with a decent surface.
This is a good mix of straights, bends, scenery, and what great biking is about. Its not a race track, but allows a brisk pace for several hours. There are some Guardia Traficos around and you will have to share the route with a moderate amount of other vehicles, although there are plenty of overta...
The first 50 kilometers from Requena offer some nice, sweeping curves with a few tighter ones that can creep up on you. Good quality tarmac. You may encounter local riders from Valencia out for a day trip.
One of the best roads we found in Spain to date - a great surface for most of the rural sections where the roads twists its way through the mountains. Great for knee down work although respect is due when going through the villages. No police presence noted. Forms a good link with the Almansa - Pino...
Very nice road for views and just a plesant ride amongst the forests as you climb higher and higher and then down opposite side of valley, was being resurfaced late May 08. Gets a bit chilly at top, think pass is about 1,700m (quite high).
